In memory of

Peter Andrew Larocque

March 25, 1961 -  May 3, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Peter Andrew Larocque, on Friday May 3rd, in his home in Mississauga at the age of 63.

In Peter’s younger days he was an amazing artist, he loved to sketch, draw, paint and make sculptures. He had a love of movies like no other, he had an extensive collection of every genre, but most of all loved Star Wars and Silver Screen. His knowledge of just about everything always amazed me, as we drove down the street he would tell me about all the trees and where he remembered them from. Peter was very kindhearted and generous, he wanted to share whatever he had, he enjoyed buying gifts for others, sharing a meal, and donating to many charities. Peter lived his life with gratitude and appreciation, he touched everyone he met, with his kindness. He will be dearly missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing him. Peter is survived by his many siblings, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Bernice and Joseph Larocque.

Let’s keep Peter’s spirit alive by being kind to everyone and grateful for every day.

Family and Friends will be received at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE- MISSISSAUGA 1535 South Gateway Road (at Dixie Road, two lights south of Eglinton) 905-602-1580 on Monday May 27, 2024 for a time of visitation from 1-2 p.m. A Celebration of Peter’s life will follow at 2 p.m. Reception to follow at the home of Lisa and Donavan Griffith.

Flowers can be sent or a donation in Peter’s name can be made to CAMH or The Diabetes Association.

Hi Pete, I wish you were still here. I miss you so much. I'm glad you are my brother. You were a great artist taught by Mrs. MCGlocklin. She really liked you. I wish I spent more time with you. You've been through so much. I'm sorry for what happened when you were a kid. I didn't mean to do it. I'm sorry. I love you so much. Say hi to Mom and Dad for me. Love you

Some of my best memories with Peter when we were young kids playing in the forest, climbing trees that we shouldn’t be climbing and playing on the rocks with our vehicles and going into buildings that we weren’t allowed into we explored West Gravenhurst through the bushes surprising we didn’t even get lost. We knew where Home was basically mealtime. We all had a group of friends to hang with.
