Petar Radan, 97, of Mississauga, passed peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 10th in Mississauga. Thank you to all of the incredible loving caregivers at Cawthra Gardens Long-Term Care Residence who helped care for my dad until his final days.

Peter married in the mid 50’s and had 2 children – Judy and Milan.

After arriving in Toronto, Canada in 1952, Peter landed a job at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce where he rapidly rose to become a bank manager. He retired in 1988 after a long and celebrated career.

Peter worked tirelessly supporting his Serbian Chetnik community and The Movement of Serbian Chetniks Ravne Gore, volunteering at the church and helping numerous new immigrants realize their entrepreneurial dreams in Canada.

Peter is survived by his daughter Judy, his son Milan and grandchildren – Adrienne, Ela (Will), Luka (Sierra), and Parris and Kaila, and also by his brother Mico and sister Andja.

He was preceded in death by his parents Djuro and Manda Radan and his 2 sisters in Serbia, dear Teta Mika and Teta Desa.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 13th from 6-8pm and Thursday, November 14th from 9-10am, at York Cemetery and Visitation Centre, 160 Beecroft Rd., Toronto Ontario. Father Milojko Dimitric will officiate.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14th at 10am at York Cemetery followed by the Interment at York Cemetery as well.

A private family lunch will follow.
