Pavlos Katsetos died peacefully on the morning of January 11th 2025 at the age of 94. He was the cherished husband of the late Despina Katsetos, Loving father of George (Laurie) and James (Maria), adored grandfather of Paul Francis (Jennifer), Luke, Paul James (Gabrielle), and Daniella, treasured great grandfather to Sydney.

Pavlos was born in Krokees, Greece on March 21st, 1930 and came to Canada on April 15th , 1958 to begin his life with his beloved wife Despina. He was a restaurant entrepreneur who dedicated his life to developing his businesses, Tasty Restaurant (1973-1992) and Sneaky Dee’s (1990-present), and worked until his 90th birthday.

Pavlos was a family man who always prioritized his family and friends through every walk of life. He had a big heart and continuously helped anyone he could.

He resided in the Hellenic Home for the Aged Toronto from December 1st 2017, where he received impeccable care. We would like to thank the staff at the Hellenic Home for their care and dedication to their residents. If you wish to make a donation in memory of Pavlos, please visit

Papou Pavlos always brought great energy to any room he was in. From hanging out at sneaky Dee’s to family dinners and Uncle Jimmys and Thea Maria’s, he always brought laughter. His family continues his legacy of kindness and humour, sharing many of the great qualities of hard work and family that he did. He will be missed. Sending our deepest condolences to the family at this time and wishing you celebrate his beautiful life.
