Affectionately known as Kit, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Martindale Gardens in Milton, Ontario on Sunday February 14, 2021. Predeceased by his wife of 60 years Dorothy Eileen (Oakes). He leaves behind two children, James and Sherry (Doug), two grandchildren, Paul (Tasha) and Joel (Saskia) and 3 great granddaughters, Rowyn, Dawson and Mazikeen. Predeceased by his brothers Maurice and Louis and his sisters Francoise and Madeliene. Kit’s gentle nature will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A special thank you to the staff at Martindale Gardens Retirement Residence who took care of Kit and supported James and Sherry through difficult times. Dear Sherry, James and family.

Another wonderful soul has left us. Uncle Kit was such a sweet, funny gentleman. I have great memories of him and Dorothy, especially when they were living in Rexdale and I would visit with my girlfriend Barbara who was living there at the time. We would arrive at cocktail hour, before we went out for the evening. Such amazing and entertaining times to be sure. Love them both dearly. Kit passed barely a year after my dad, uncle Don. We really miss him, but we do have lasting memories to sustain us, as am sure you have with Kit as well as Dorothy. They were a special couple.

Sending lots of hugs and kisses.

Dear Sherry -Lynn, James and family,
I was so saddened to hear of Uncle Kit’s passing.
I have such fond memories of family gatherings together with grandma and grandpa.
Your dad was such a kind man and I remember that he always seemed to have a smile.I have thought of all of you often over the years.
The finality is never easy no matter how many years we’ve had our loved ones in our lives.
May God strengthen you with the love of family and friends.
With love and hugs from your cousin,
Anne Kenyon McGarr
