Dad

As I sit here, struggling to find the right words, my heart is filled with a mix of sorrow and gratitude. You came into my life when I needed you most, not as a replacement, but as an addition to the family—a role you embraced with unwavering love and kindness. I want you to know how much I appreciated your presence, your guidance, and your endless support throughout the years.

You've taught me so many valuable lessons, not just through words but through your actions. Your strength, your patience, and your unwavering belief in me have shaped me into the person I am today. I will forever cherish the moments we shared, You've been more than a stepfather. You've been a true father in every sense of the word.

As you embark on this next journey, I want you to carry with you the immense love and gratitude I hold in my heart. You will always be a part of me, and your legacy will continue to live on in the values and memories you've instilled in me. Rest peacefully, knowing that you have made an indelible mark on my life. I love you, and I will miss you dearly.

With all my love,
Darlene

My heart hurts, I have known Paul and Martha since birth
My mom and Paul’s mom, “Aunt Barbara” were best friends since they were 5 years old
You are with God now and in no more pain
