Paul Becker

December 4, 1964 - October 17, 2020

Paul was born in Hamilton, Ontario, December 4, 1964 and died suddenly in Toronto, October 17, 2020, the same date that his idol, Gord Downie of Tragically Hip, died in 2017.

He was a moral person who analyzed the world’s problems and deeply felt its injustices. Brilliant and sensitive, he never quite found his place in the world.

His unique creativity shines in the settings of Gord Downie’s music with astronomy videos that are available on his Youtube channel: pfreddyp.

Along with his love of music, his greatest joy was parenting his beloved daughter, Lorraine Marilyn Garate, her sister Carolina and brother, Max.

He is survived by Lorraine and his stepchildren Carolina and Max, his mother, Gwenne, siblings Christina and Adam (Benoit Desmarais). His father, John, predeceased him in 2010.

So sad to hear of Paul's passing. I fondly remember times living on Chester Ave., Toronto with Amanda Schultz and Adam- getting to hang out with his younger brother Paul. A creative, entertaining soul! May he find peace now. Rest well dear Paul.
