In memory of

Patty So Lan Gee

March 29, 1950 - July 7, 2026

Patty So Lan Gee (Fong), aged 76, of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, leaving a profound legacy of love, dedication, and faith. Born in Hoi Ping, China, on March 29, 1950, Patty was a devoted follower of Christ who possessed a just spirit and cared deeply about doing what was right.

Alongside her husband, Paul Park Fai Gee, with whom she looked forward to celebrating their milestone 50th wedding anniversary, she was the true matriarch of her home. Her love was always active. She instinctively cared for those around her, stepping in to help before anyone even thought to ask. She surrounded her children and grandchildren with constant support and endless joy, and was a deeply devoted daughter who actively cared for her own father.

Patty is survived by her husband, Paul Park Fai Gee, and her father, Fook Ming Fong. She was the cherished mother of Jenny Link (Justin), Bertina Andrews (Jordan), and Andrew Gee. Her warmth and wisdom live on through her five grandchildren: Sarah Link, Michelle Link, Vincent Link, Katelyn Andrews, and Logan Andrews. She is also survived by her older sister, Judy Kwan, and her younger brother, William Fong (Iris). Patty was predeceased by her beloved mother, Shun Heung Fong.

As the quiet strength of her family, Patty’s memory will be forever held in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the medical teams who cared for Patty with such compassion. Special thanks to the dedicated staff at Grand River Hospital in the Stroke Unit and ICU, including Dr. Chopra, nurse Rebecca and the nurses who supported her. Heartfelt thanks also to Dr. Kim and nurses Angela, Lori, Joanne, and all the incredible nurses at the Freeport Chicopee Palliative Unit, whose gentle care and support brought immense comfort to both Patty and her family.

A viewing and visitation will be held on July 17, 2026 from 4pm-8pm at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road. North York, ON.

A funeral mass for Patty So Lan Gee will be held at St. Aidan’s Church in 3501 Finch Ave E, Scarborough, ON on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Viewing at 10:30am. Mass at 11am.
Following the funeral mass, we will be proceeding to York Cemetery for the burial. Afterwards, family and friends are warmly invited to join the family for a luncheon

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a charitable donation in Patty’s memory to the Grand River Hospital Foundation or to any charity supporting cancer care and research.
