Plested, Patrick- It is with a broken heart I announce that my kind, wonderful father, my hero passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 10th, 2021 in his 94th year. Dad lived a full life always smiling, singing his favourite songs, enjoying time with what he loved most his family. Patrick was a devoted husband to the late Marg for 51 years, father to Lisa (John). Proud Papa to his Grandchildren Jenna and Jared. He will be missed by many nieces (Great) and nephews (Great) in England, the Maritimes and Western Canada. Dad embraced the years he had with all of us, his extended family and friends. He loved traveling around the world, a good book or crossword, watching golf, going for scenic drives, a good roast beef dinner and yorkshire pudding (he made the best), a glass of wine or in earlier years a fine scotch. Dad you will be missed, but it gives us peace to know you are back with your first love, Mom.
Rest easy Dad.

In light of the current Covid 19 Pandemic we will be having a virtual Service on Monday, February 22nd at 1:30. Dear Lisa and Family - you have my most sincere condolences. Your Dad was a major mentor, boss and friend to me in my early career with Liberty Mutual Insurance at the Company's Canadian headquarters office in Don Mills in the late 1970's and early 1980's. After I returned to the U.S. we kept in contact through the years. Whenever my husband Edwin and I visited Toronto in the years after we always made a point to try and get together with Pat - or at least have a nice telephone chat if we couldn't get together in person. I've shared the news of his passing with other Liberty Mutual colleagues in Canada and the U.S. from the old days who always held him in high regard. I shall always have very fond memories of him and your mother. Shalom to you and your family. Jack Cox
