Dear Patrick, fondly known as Ah Tam: I am so saddened at your passing so early in your tender age. I have lots of memories both through our academic and professional lives. We worked hard together, helping each other during our 5-year PhD programs. In particular, you helped me solve a complicated mathematical prgram I used in my PhD thesis. Meanwhile, I always remember that you and Frances both took great care of Gilbert, my firstborn, who was born before Karen and Wendy. During a labor day weekend more than 30 years ago, I drove from Ottawa to Toronto with my family and my mother-in-law and couldn't find any hotel to spent the night. You cheerfully hosted us after we arrived at your Willowdale abode past midnight. Always feel so thankful to you and Frances. Rest in peace, dear Ah Tam. FuMei joins me in wishing Frances, your daughters, sons -in-law and grandchildren the best of everything.
Your warm smile, your friendly conversation as well as the interesting ping pong information you shared will definitely be missed. Our deepest condolences to the Tam's family.
Miss Tam a lot, R.I.P.
Rest in peace Patrick
Dear Frances, Please accept our sincere condolences to you and your family. Our hearts go to you.
