In memory of

Patricia Anne Adams

February 8, 1939 -  April 6, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Anne Adams (nee Schamehorn), our beloved mother, grandmother, and nana, on April 6, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Patricia is survived by her seven loving children: Christine Brown (Alan), Danial (Kathy), Patti Pulito (Don), Andrew (Susen), Matthew, Joseph (Jackie), and Jonathan (Sandie). Her grandchildren, Brandy Howard (Frank), Cody Brown (Nicole), Crystal Tanner (Jimmy), Victoria Dolson, Stephanie Davis (Evan), Troy Adams, Joshua Pulito (Sally), Jessica Pulito (Oliver), Matthew Pulito, Joshua Adams (Kate), Patrick Adams, Nicole Moore (Jon), Rebecca LeClerc (Alex), Brittany LeClerc (Kanta), Kaleb Adams and her 15 beautiful great grandchildren.

Patricia leaves behind a brother, Leonard Schamehorn (Lorraine), and a sister, Margaret Anley (Larry).

She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Mary Schamehorn (nee Rimmington) and her siblings Thelma Godda and Ross Schamehorn.

Patricia married the love of her life, Ralph Adams, and together they raised their seven energetic children until he died in 2002.

Patricia was born in Huntsville, Ontario and immediately started smiling her way through life. She was devoted to her family and friends, eager to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. She loved to teach but found her true passion in raising her children. She loved baking treats for everyone and making clothing and crafts. She turned these fun activities into side businesses while raising her brood and loving every moment.

Patricia could often be found with her nose in a book or working through another crossword. If you were available and interested, she would be ready to play cards or a board game. She also enjoyed time listening and learning with all of her grandchildren.

She taught us that a smile and a positive attitude should always be our go-tos. She taught us to always lend a hand and share a kind word.

Keep learning. Keep trying. Keep smiling.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to The Hospital for Sick Children. From an early age, Patricia was supported through Sick Kids. They gave her the ability to walk through life.

Eileen will miss Pat as they were friends while living in Marion’s Place. They took turns cooking a meal and making a craft once a week I believe. They have kept in touch by phone and mail since Eileen moved to Alberta in November 2013.
