It is with deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Parbattee Savitri Sukhari on June 5, 2023 in her 82nd year, at Villa Forum Nursing Home.
Predeceased by her loving husband Debidin Sukhari. Cherished Mom of Romharsh, Romesh and Davika. Adored Grandma of Michael, Jason, Ethan, Marisa and Danika. Dear sister of Doreen, Jeff, Gloria (Howard), Chris (Geeta), David (Robert) and of the Late Margaret. Sadly missed by many nephews, nieces and friends.

Sav was a teacher, girls club organizer and social worker in Guyana and a dietary aid in Canada. She spent many years performing community work to uplift the lives of the people of Blairmont Estate, Guyana. She loved cooking, knitting, gardening, dancing, movies and music. Visiting Sav meant you would always leave with containers of food. She was always the one people sought for advice and share their worries with. Her gift of compassion, ability to listen and her chattiness won her friends everywhere.

She had an unbelievable memory and cognitive ability which thankfully she retained to her last breath. Her love of family, values, inner strength and the will to live life on her terms are her greatest legacies.
