Panagiotes (Peter) Sourlis, 82, died on Tuesday, July 4th of 2023. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen and 4 children, Jack, Effie, Tasos, and Niko.

He was born on March 25, 1941 in Varvitsa, Greece and lived there until being sponsored by his sister, Zafiro, to move to Montreal. When the rest of the Sourlis siblings moved to Canada, Peter chose to settle down in Ontario where he met the love of his life, and began building his legacy of being a devoted and passionate member of his community. Soon after, he became a father and the head of his family of 6, developing a reputation as a fantastic cook, and a hardworking business owner.

His adventures with his kids, nieces/nephews, and grandchildren will never be forgotten. Whether it was a trip to Disney, a tour through Greece, or an invite to Greek dance, Peter was always the one that ensured his family lived their lives to the fullest.

A visitation will be held in his honor at Meadowvale Funeral Centre on Sunday, July 9th at 4:00pm-8:00pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at Prophet Elias, Greek Orthodox Church at 11:00am and a Macaria at the church at 2:00pm on Monday, July 10th, 2023.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
