It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Owen Strachan at Providence Healthcare on Saturday August 19, 2023 from a lengthy illness. He was born on December 31, 1940 to Robert and Loretta Strachan in Fruitful Vale, Jamaica.

A beloved husband to Ina Strachan and doting father to his 4 daughters: Janett, Faith, Marsha and Darlene and his son Elvis Strachan. He was also a beloved grandfather to: Sarah, Rain, Sanya, Shimona, Salvin, Dominic and Celine

Owen was a man who loved God, his family, friends and neighbors. He enjoyed music / dancing and travelling in his younger years.

A time of gathering will be held at Pine Hills Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough) on Friday, August 25, 2023 between the hours of 4 – 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Knob Hill United Church (23 Gage Avenue, Scarborough) on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Duffin Meadows Cemetery (2505 Brock Road North, Pickering). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
