I remember the first time I met Olive, when John came to my front-door (we were neighbor's at the time), requesting my help to get Olive from the upstairs of the house, to the car, for a doctor's appointment.
I was just supposed to help her down the stairs. I suggested in the interest of time, that I just pick her up, and carry her in my arms. Bev was good with the idea. I warned Olive, that I would have to slip my arms around her to pick her up, but didn't want her thinking I was getting "fresh" with her or anything. As I picked her up, she placed her arms around my neck, leaned in and gave me a big kiss on the cheek, saying, maybe I'll get fresh with you!
So very sorry to hear of Olive's passing. She was a lovely lady and we always enjoyed talking with her when the families got together. She always seemed to enjoy her great grandchildren and other young people in the room. We will miss her quiet ways.
My sympathy on the loss of your mother...a life well lived
My deepest condolences to your beloved grandmother the late Olive May Johns.
My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
We just heard about Aunt Olive's passing. She was a great support for Perry's grandma Ruth (Olive's sister) during her life, especially when both couples lived in neighbouring apartments on Park Road in Oshawa.
What long lives both North sisters enjoyed!!
