We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Olga McEwen, 94, at Scarborough Centenary Hospital in May-2021. Olga had been a resident of Extendicare Guildwood since 2018. Predeceased by her brother Cyril and husband Ron. Fondly remembered by daughter Stacy and son-in-law Ulf, loving Granny to Chloe and Derik. She will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
Olga graduated as a registered nurse from the Wellesley School of Nursing in 1950 and was a member of the "Nifty Fifties" alumni group. She went on to take Public Health at the University of Toronto. Olga worked as a registered nurse for 40 years ending her career at Sunnybrook Hospital.
Olga will be remembered as a loyal friend that enjoyed being an active part of the Guildwood Community and the Guildwood Presbyterian Church. She spent much of her retirement painting, gardening and loved to host family dinners.
