In memory of

Olena Fritz

July 2, 1980 -  December 28, 2024

It is with the deepest regrets that we must inform the world that Olena Fritz (Zheretiy) is no longer with us as of December 28, 2024.

She has left behind a mourning husband, Mario Fritz, and an 8-year-old daughter, Vesta Fritz, as well as her father, Oleksandr, stepmother, Tetyana, and two siblings, Volodymyr and Georgiy.

Olena (going by Lena) was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on July 2, 1980. At the age of 14, she had lost her mother to a tragic car accident, and few years later in 1998 she moved to Toronto, Canada with her father, stepmother, and two brothers. In her years living in Toronto she had become a successful Registered Nurse working in hospitals and long-term care facilities, supporting and saving people's lives every day.

Lena was a citizen of the world, living in various places on planet Earth, blessing the world with the light of her soul everywhere she went.

In 2006, she moved to the UAE to become a flight attendant for Etihad Airlines, then lived in Bermuda, and later moved to Cyprus, where she met her husband and had her daughter. Among those years, she travelled the globe, living in numerous countries and bringing the light of her presence everywhere she went. In 2016, she moved to Vienna, Austria with her beautiful family to settle down and build a new life.

One of the most remarkable things that Lena has accomplished in her short lifetime was volunteering as a nurse in Ukrainian hospitals after the horrible Russian-Ukrainian war broke out in 2022. She risked her life under the threat of bombing while helping save soldiers’ lives, collecting donations, routing life-saving equipment, and responding to the immediate needs of victims and families of fallen soldiers. Her heroic actions will go down in history and have made an immense difference for everyone she has touched with her hands and her soul.

She was a highly spiritual and connected person who had witnessed unbearable pain in this world. We were all devastated by her disappearance and eventual discovery in a state that we all wish we could change. Her whole family finds solace in the belief that she has fulfilled her purpose in this lifetime, and we pray that she may sleep in heavenly peace.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask you to consider donating in memory of Olena. We are planning to use the contributions towards a memorial park bench, which we hope to have installed by the Spring.
