I was very saddened to hear of Oleksandr’s passing. We worked very closely together for many years and I have often thought of our collaboration as an ideal mix of intelligence, foresight and calmness. His dry humour, assured demeanour, easy self-deprecation and competence made him a great colleague and friend. It helped that he liked the same beers as I do ! I never really had the chance to thank him for our time together. I carry that regret. Condolences to all his loved ones and friends. And I hope he’s now in a place where he can hike all day without ever tiring.

Mild mannered, cultured and soft voice are what I will always remember about Al as well as his fashion sense. I always enjoyed our lunchtime discussions on different subjects. Rest in Peace.

Dear Sasha, you left us with cherished memories and moments of joy from the day we met in Lvov at the start of our university years. You were a beloved friend and a wonderful companion to everyone you cared for. Your intelligence and wisdom shone brightly. May your beautiful soul find peace, and may your memory live on in our hearts.
