Obituary – Norman Washington McIntosh
A visionary and builder, Norman Washington McIntosh was born on January 14, 1955, in Kingston, Jamaica. As a bold, young man, with his experience in the trades, he moved to Canada where he found his romantic love. Norman got married to his beloved wife, Blanch Dixon on October 28, 1978. They lived and rented together in Toronto initially for 13 years and then moved into their own house in Brampton to grow their family for 31 years.
Norman and Blanch were together for 44 years to build a home and see that vision of a flourishing family through until that fateful day on a Saturday in November 2022. Sadly, Norman left Blanch and his family to be with Jesus, his Maker. On Saturday, November 26, 2022, Norman passed away from cardiac arrest at 67 years old. Norman leaves behind his beloved wife, Blanch McIntosh.
Norman had four (4) children in the order of birth:
Norman & Blanch McIntosh
• Denley McIntosh (Son in Brampton)
• Cheryl Edmondson (Daughter in Brampton)
• Brian McIntosh (Son in Mississauga)
• Amanda Heywood (Daughter in Hamilton)
Norman had also three (3) children-in-love from his children’s marriage:
• Tajé McIntosh (Wife of Denley),
• Domaine Edmondson (Husband of Cheryl)
• Jordan Heywood (Husband of Amanda)
Thankfully, Norman left behind a legacy of five (5) grandchildren in the order of birth of their parents:
Denley & Tajé McIntosh
• Makayla (Daughter, 14 years old)
• Micah (Son, 11 years old)
• Mateo (Son, 6 years old)
Cheryl & Domaine Edmondson
• Shanice (Daughter, 7 years old)
• Simeon (Son, 4 years old)

Norman leaves behind surviving siblings in the order of birth:

• Veronica Mustafa (Sister in New York)
• Daisy Campbell (Sister and Wife of Frank Campbell in Toronto)
• Claudette McIntosh-Powell (Sister and Wife of Walter Powell in Mississauga)
• Paulette Franklin (Sister and Wife of Derrick Franklin in Florida)
Norman will be missed…but by God’s grace, his vision will live on through his wife and children.

My uncle Norman was a humble, family-oriented man with an infectious smile and distinctive laugh. I always felt at home in his house when I visited Canada. I was at ease talking with him and being around him for the times I was there for his children's weddings. I will miss the kindness and warmth that he extended to me. You will never be forgotten my beloved "Uncle Tush." God give you rest and peace for the family.
