In memory of

Noris Honor Wilson

March 4, 1925 -  September 16, 2019

On Monday, September 16. 2019, our beloved NORIS WILSON, Mother, Nana and friend, peacefully passed into her loving Saviour Jesus’ arms at the age of 94. She is survived by her daughter Cristina and dear granddaughters, Melissa and Andrea, along with some cousins in Italy and cousin Shirley in NWT. Predeceased by baby in infancy.

Born in Casale Monferato, Italy on March 4, 1925, Noris came to Canada when she was just two years old, living in Cademan, Alberta with her mother and father. Her family then came to Ontario, where Noris attended various schools, including Earl Haig Collegiate and Shaw Business College. Noris worked many years at TransCanada Pipelines as a secretary. In 1954, She married Glen Wilson, and they had one daughter. Living in Etobicoke for 40 years, Noris made many friends, as she worked for a Community School and Pool for almost 20 years, until she retired at 65. Leading senior bus tours all around Ontario was one of many of her favourite roles. She also loved to garden, with her poodle dog Missy, and her treasured rescue dog Slippers, at her side. Noris had a good sense of humour, and was also was fond of dancing, travelling, reading (especially her Bible), volunteering on her daughter’s school trips , listening to music and she was a great cook. Noris was also involved with the Women’s group at Westmount Park Baptist Church.

When Noris became a Nana, she made the move to Mississauga in 1997 to help look after her two granddaughters, whom she adored with her whole heart and soul and who became her reason for being.

With thanks to staff at Credit River Retirement Residence, Bough Beeches Assisted Living and the staff at Credit Valley Hospital - all three places mom spent from latter part of 2016 to August 2018.

With heartfelt and unending thanks to the amazing staff at Riverside Glen Long Term Care Facility in Guelph, who gave wonderful care to Noris during the last 13 months of her life.

Many thanks to all our friends for your visits and support of all of us too.

We will ALL miss her dearly and remember her words, Love ya, love ya, love ya!

I am saddened by your loss Christina and family. Thank you for choosing our neighbourhood for caring for Noris. It was my pleasure to have many a conversation and learn the little preferences which made caring for your mom more comfortable for her. She made my day every time I walked into her room and witnessed that loving smile and greeting. We loved to laugh at stories and talk about music. My heart holds your family close during this time. Take care, Susanne

We had an honor of meeting Noris back in 2002 as we moved to the same townhouse complex. As years went by we got to know Noris and appreciate her beautiful nature; sense of humor and love for her family.
May you rest in peace.
