In memory of

Noella Pardy - Greenway

December 25, 1938 -  March 4, 2024

PARDY-GREENWAY, NOELLA – It is with deep sadness that we are announcing the peaceful passing of our mother Noella at Hospice Prince Edward with family by her side on Monday March 4, 2024. Loving Mother to John and Roger (Barbara) Pardy and doting grandmother to Brayden, Kylie, Connor and DJ. Pre-deceased by her mother and father as well as her brothers Fred and Leo and her sister Suzanne and is survived by her brother George.

Noella was born and raised in Montreal one of 5 children of Raymond and Marguerite Gagnon. Noella was very proud to tell you she was described as a “medical phenomena” and there are lots of medical history reports at the old …hospital in Montreal. Throughout her childhood, she lived a remarkable life from schooling in a convent to later meeting and marrying her world-travelling spouse Roy in her early twenties. Courageously the couple ventured to Ontario to raise a family with two WONDERFUL children. Our parents later separated and both re-married. Our mother while working as an office manager for an international trucking firm met and fell in love with her co-working trucker friend from Virginia Leo Greenway. Leo was quiet the dedicated spouse with an avid love for anything sporty which included the activities of his newly acquired Grandkids. Leo was an odd sort with his awkward southern drawl and his quirky quietness however his care an affection for our mom outweighed any recognized ambiguities, we often joked with him regarding his “Yes Dear…” approach, he took it all in stride. Leo tragically passed in a trucking accident in 2006.

Mom thrived throughout her life whether alone, with Leo or her kids or grandkids, she achieved many things and successfully positioned herself for the many unexpected occurrences she experienced before her demise. As of late she courageously battled the frustrating disease of Dementia to more recently succumbing to a raging battle with Cancer.

Family and Friends will be received at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE- MISSISSAUGA 1535 South Gateway Road (at Dixie Road, two lights south of Eglinton) 905-602-1580 on Saturday May 4th, 2024 at 12 p.m. for a Celebration of Life.

She will be truly missed.
