In memory of

Niki Kiriazakos

November 26, 1938 -  August 21, 2023

Peacefully, on Sunday August 21, 2023, Niki Kiriazakos (nee Tsouroupakis) passed away at home in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Fotios Kiriazakos and the mother of Violet, Cynthia and Tony.

Niki was born in Chania, Crete, Greece and came to Canada at the age of 17 and became a Canadian citizen on March 29th, 1961. She was the youngest of six siblings and was blessed with a large family and a beautiful country of origin. Niki enjoyed her life in Toronto being a proud and loving wife and mother who rejoiced in the lives of her family and friends. Niki was a shy and warm hearted person who enjoyed the company of small groups.

Niki always took part in her children's lives - joining Tony in his school field trips to the African Lion Safari, the zoo and going to watch Tony in his baseball games. Niki loved visiting Violet's home and enjoying kicking her feet in the pool and spoiling Violet's cat Ties.

Niki enjoyed outings with Cynthia to a Raptor game, the Ice Capades, the CNE Air Show, a Bette Midler concert and shopping at The Bay for towels.

Niki always welcomed her family, friends and her children's friends to her home for a barbeque, Christmas gift exchanges or coffee and desserts. Niki thoroughly enjoyed watching her Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jay games, her garden and flowers both outside and cut flowers in the house. Niki loved her budgies - Yellow, Blue and Kiwi who kept her company and the blue jays, doves and cardinals that visited the backyard bird bath. Niki was proud of her Greek heritage and enjoyed listening to Greek music and Sunday Leitourgia (Sunday Church service).

Niki always had a warm smile and her laughter was infectious. She will be remembered for her generous and proud heart and surrounding herself with family and friends.

Wishing you had a chance to watch me play too…. Because I would have come over to say hello and let you know what a great young man you’ve raised. A lovely and thoughtful guy and one heck of a teammate.

May you rest peacefully.
