Nick Karapalides

May 2, 1936 -  August 29, 2024

It is with heavy sadness to announce the passing of Nick Karapalides on August 29, 2024 at the age of 88. Predeceased by his parents, Argyrios and Theothora Karapalides, as well as his siblings Athena Rakopoulos, Vangeli Karapalides and Danny Karapalides.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his devoted and adoring wife Mary (Marika) Karapalides, his loving children Patricia (Bill) Pachis and Gary (Giselle) Karapalides, his beautiful grandchildren Daniel (Jaymie) Pachis, Nicki Pachis, Alexia Karapalides, and Selena Karapalides along with his precious great grandchild Dino Pachis, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Nick was incredibly well loved by his entire family and the Greek community. He touched the hearts of many people and will be forever remembered for his kindness and unconditional love. He lived his life with grace, compassion and laughter and was blessed with a heart of gold which was evident not only while he was with us, but especially during his final days. A true warrior.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 4 from 4 to 8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5 at 10 AM followed by the burial. Visitation, funeral and burial will all take place at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres (1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON, L4S 1M9).

From all that I have known about Nick he was a wonderful person.
We have lost a Good Man.

He was a close friend to my father and uncles.
My Uncle Dennis and I baptized his children.

My sincere condolences to all of you. I am so so sorry to hear Nick has passed away. He was such a lovely person. Kind hearted, always smiling and friendly. He was an amazing father and husband. My memories of him Greek Dancing during the good old times at Greek dances while we were kids. He will be missed. Patricia, Gary, and Thea Marika my heart goes out to all of you during this difficult time.
