Nhi Thap Tran (née Tang, also known as 陳素蘭), 95, of Mississauga, passed peacefully on January 14, 2025 at Yee Hong Mississauga. She was born on January 1, 1930, to Tang Kieu and Duong Anh in Sai Gon, Viet Nam, the 12th of 16 children. 

She married Tai Tran on March 8, 1958 and they had 1 child, Kien. In 1979 she and Kien left Viet Nam for a new life in Canada and were joined by her husband in 1981. Optimistic and full of positive energy, she loved to travel to see new things and visit family around the globe.

She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter, Kien, Yen, and YanYan. She is preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her husband.

Visitation will take place on January 23, 2025 at 9:30am at Meadowvale Funeral Centre (7732 Mavis Rd., Brampton), followed by the funeral service at 10:30am. Cremation will take place after the service with a private witnessing.
