It is with deep love and respect that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Ngan Soo (Chong) Chau on Sunday June 22, 2025, at approximately 11:30 PM, at Mon Sheong Long Term Care in Toronto. She was 102 years old.
Born on December 27, 1922, in Kaiping, China, Ngan Soo Chau lived a long and fulfilling life, rooted in compassion, resilience, and devotion to her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Shiu Chan Chau, and a devoted mother to her three children: Bo Man, Yiu King (Leo), and Yiu Kwok (Doug).
She leaves behind four cherished grandchildren: Philip, Vivian, Crawford, and Spencer, all of whom were deeply influenced by her values and love.
Ngan Soo Chau is a devout home Buddhist since the time in China. She was one of the funders of the Temple when it was completed in 1997 and a regular donor since. She lived her life with humility and grace. Ngan Soo Chau is a steadfast partner, nurturing mother, loving grandmother, and an unwavering source of strength for her family. She embodied the values of hard work, kindness, and generosity, and she instilled these principles in her children and grandchildren, encouraging them to live with purpose and compassion.
Her memory will be lovingly held in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple (多倫多佛光山), in memory of Ngan Soo CHAU.
May she rest in peace.

So, donation tax receipt can be mailed to donors at a later date.
