享年：86歲

陳信義先生於2024年9月20日家人陪同在側因病安詳辭世，離開了他深愛的家人與親友。他一生為了家庭奔波於世界各地，雖然辛苦但也多彩多姿，最後落腳於加拿大多倫多市。有幸子女都很成才，在社會上也都有很好的成就，足堪告慰其在天之靈！

Nelson Sin-Yi Chen, 86, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease, surrounded by his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Amy, his children and their spouses: Edward and Ling Yam Chen, Cindy and Gekan Feng, Lisa Chen, and Kevin and Evelyn Chen, and his grandchildren: Sara, Caden, Rai, Nathan, Ari’i and Lauren. He is predeceased by his first wife, Min-Hsia, and his grandson Dyson. He leaves behind two brothers, three sisters and many beloved relatives and friends in Taiwan.

Throughout his life, he traveled the world and learned to speak four languages. He began in his native Taiwan, where he was a livestock veterinarian (Mandarin), and then led an agricultural exchange mission in Rwanda (French). He later pursued successful business ventures in Brazil (Portuguese) before finally settling in Canada (English) with his family, where he worked at Sharp Electronics and later in the computer industry. Through his strong work ethic and perseverance, he led a vibrant and fulfilling life. He instilled in his children a strong conviction in the value of education. He was proud of their accomplishments and contributions to society, which will bring him comfort in heaven. The family wishes to thank his physician Dr. Dai, and all the staff at Scarborough Grace Hospital for the care he received.

為感念陳信義先生，將於2024年10月2日星期三上午9時在 Elgin Mills Visitation Centre 學、舉行追悼告别式，親友敬請於當日上午9時到場，致意追思！

A private funeral service will take place with his family and relatives on October 2, 2024, at the Elgin Mills Visitation Centre. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in memory of Nelson Sin-Yi Chen to Scarborough Grace Hospital or North York General Hospital Geriatric Clinic for Parkinson’s.
