In memory of

郭蔡玉蘭夫人 Mrs. Nancy Kwok

September 12, 1947 -  December 19, 2022

With profound sadness we announce the passing of our precious mother Nancy Kwok (nee Choi) on December 19, 2022. She left us while sleeping peacefully at the age of 75.

She was born to the late Choi Ping Chuen and the late Choi To Mei Kuen in Hong Kong. She met and married her best friend and the love of her life Francis Kwok in 1974. In 1976, they left Hong Kong and immigrated to Canada to build a better life for their family. Her family was her pride and joy. She was a devoted mother to Elaine (Henry), Catherine (Yvan), Evonne (Robert), Michelle (Andy) and proud grandmother to seven grandchildren Gabriel, Abigail, Luc, Sophia, Sienna, Alyssa, and Brandon. She loved her family so much and instilled us with strong values that have shaped us into who we are today.

As the second of seven siblings, she is survived by her brothers John (Connie), Danny (Mabel), Nelson (Shirley), Anthony (Pauline), her sisters Victoria (Jim), Louisa (Ivor), nieces (Jessica, Jennifer, Jacquelyn, Augusta), nephews (Jonathan, Bernard, Calvin, Kiefer, Jayden), as well as many grand nieces and grand nephews. She will be missed dearly and will be forever in our hearts.

If you would like to pay your respects, you are welcome to attend the Visitation/Funeral Service/interment we are holding in her honour on December 29 and 30. See below for details.

Donations to Mackenzie Health in lieu of flowers would be appreciated. Mom spent her last five weeks in the hospital and we would love to see enhancements to patient care as a tribute to her.

There are no words that can express in this hour of sorrow at the loss of our great nice lady, Nancy. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Frances and her family.

My wife Sydney and I (Tom) were big fan of Nancy's elegant style and demeanor, petite but packed with knowledge and substance. We admired her. In fact we long to see and talk to her, or run into her, at functions, and at dim sum places. Heaven must have opened up a very special spot for the fine ladies like Nancy. We are pleased.

Dear Michelle & family,

I am so deeply sorry to hear about your mom's passing and I am sending you prayers for comfort during this time. It sounds like your mom was surrounded by so much love from a big and happy intergenerational family. Michelle, you've always been a beam of light for everyone around you. I'm sure so much of that comes from your dear mom and she will live on in you and your kids.

Love, Amy Hwang & family (Matt, Teo and Indie)
