Murray Oakley was a man full of respect for himself and others, a man filled with generosity and a man jam packed with stories of great detail. Papa, is what I called him because he accepted me and took me in as one of his very own. Before I had the great honour of meeting him in person, he was always asking about me to Mitchell. I already felt love for him. Once I did get to meet him in person, he was an absolute gentleman. He took my coat off for me, and even put it back on me when I was leaving place. He left an outstanding impression on me, such a charmer! Papa showed me new places and new faces. He knew everyone and if he didn’t, he made sure to get to know them. He also took me to the very same spot he took Mitchell and Shaunalee when they were kids to have the best Fish and Chips I’ve ever had. We had plans to go to the beaches this summer where JP grew up in Toronto so he could show me around. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to take me but Mitchell and I promised him we would go cause he will be there in spirit. I want to thank Mitchell for showing me love, respect and effort and for making me a part of this strong willed and outspoken family. I want to Thank JP for being such a caring and strong figure for everyone. Lastly, I want to thank Papa for being the symbol of Peace and Unity for this entire family. I love you with all my heart and miss you with all my might. You’ll never be forgotten, and will always be cherished by all of us. Rest In Paradise King Papa.

With Love, Xamia Carvajal
