In memory of

Muriel Laurence

April 15, 1932 -  July 14, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Muriel Gwendolyn Laurence (nee McBride).

She passed peacefully, at Mississauga Trillium Hospital surrounded by her three sons.

Muriel was the beloved wife of the late Donald Allan Laurence. She will be dearly missed by her sons Kent (Cheryl), Brian (Cathy) and Allan (Jennifer) and lovingly remembered by her grandsons David (Cristina), Bradley (Brittany), Brent (Jillian), Michael (Kelly) and Kyle (Kristen) and by her great grandchildren Everly, Easton, Lylah and Harper.

Muriel was a dear sister to Isabel Wilson and her predeceased brothers Mervin and Ronald McBride.

Never one to shy away from an adventure or challenge, Muriel was an RN at Queensway Hospital before sailing twice to the Bahamas, camping throughout North America in a motorhome and travelling with family or friends to many destinations. She enjoyed hand stitching cherished quilts, reading a good book and always a glass of wine.

The family will always be grateful to her cherished friend Lila Bowen for all of her kindness and to the doctors and nurses at Trillium’s Mississauga General Hospital for their excellent care.

A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.

It was a joy & happy days growing up next door to the Laurence family (Don & Muriel), Kent, Brian & Al. You could not have ask for better neighbours and friends.

Muriel was always friendly and pleasant. A real class act. I am so sad to hear of her passing but will hold fond memories of her always.

My thoughts are with the extended Laurence family ❤️❤️❤️ - I feel your pain

Our condolences to the entire Laurence family. Growing up next door to the Laurences, I remember Mrs. Laurence as a caring and friendly face who never seemed to mind when Alan and I got into mischief on a regular basis. So many great memories. She will be missed.
