In memory of

Muriel Hinds

January 24, 1942 -  March 14, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Muriel Carmita Hinds at her home in Hillcrest Village, Toronto. She had recently celebrated her 83rd birthday in January 2025.

Muriel is predeceased by her beloved parents, Samuel and Indiana, her sister Rebecca, granddaughter Summer, grandson Howard Junior, and her brother Sammy.
She will be dearly missed by her family, many friends, colleagues, and church members of Oakwood Baptist Church.

Muriel worked many years in long term care until she retired. She was also a trained Cosmetologist. Muriel was most conscientious and very caring towards those she worked with. She was kind, caring, strong-willed, hard-working, and yet - full of joy. She enjoyed watching her favourite television shows, going to church, and going on her annual trips to Jamaica. Her favourite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she truly adored.

Please join us in the Celebration of Life for Muriel 🕊️

Just close your eyes and you will see
All the memories that you have of me
Just sit and relax, and you will find
I’m still there inside your mind
Don’t cry for me now I’m gone
For I am in the land of song
There is no pain, there is no fear
So dry away that silent tear
Don’t think of me in the dark and cold
For here I am, no longer old
I’m in that place that’s filled with love
Known to you all, as “UP ABOVE” 💐

I love you mom and I’m missing you every minute every hour every day.
You were my world my life my everything. I can’t express my loss and I’m not sure how I’ll move on without you. When you departed from this world you took a piece of my heart. I will always love you and remember you my beautiful mom.

My Aunt Muriel, was the matriarch of this family. She was like tree planted by the river. Her love was like roots that spead beyond normal measures.
God gave us an Angel and now she has flown home to her "maker"

May she rest in heavenly peace, as she will forever live in our hearts.
