李揚女仕 Ms. Yang Li

June 30, 1974 -  January 22, 2024

On the morning of Monday, January 22, Yang Li, at the age of 49, passed away peacefully in her home in Ottawa surrounded by her loving family. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. Yang was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, colleague and neighbour. She is survived by her husband Albert, her son Ethan, her mother Hui and brother Ying. Yang will be greatly missed.

Born on June 30, 1974, Yang grew up in Shantou, China and moved to Montreal in 2000 to pursuit her studies at McGill University. In 2006, she and Albert met and fell in love. She moved to Ottawa, they were married and started a family. Yang worked at Health Canada as a lab technician where she had many great colleagues.

From her beloved son: "Roses are red. Violets are blue. I love you, and so do you!"

Family and friends may pay their respect at York Funeral Centre (160 Beecroft Road) on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 9am - 10am followed by funeral service at 10am. Burial following service at York Cemetery.

In memoriam, and in lieu of flowers, donations to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or The Ottawa Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.

家人和朋友可以於 2024 年 1 月 31 日星期三上午 9 點至上午 10 點在約克殯儀中心(160 Beecroft Road)表達哀悼,然後在上午 10 點舉行葬禮。 葬禮在約克公墓舉行。

Yang is such a caring, kind and passionate Wife, Mom, Daughter, Sister, Friend, Colleague and Neighbor. Yang will be deeply missed! May her soul rest in eternal peace and no pain.
