It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wai-Suen Lau Chong on February 26, 2022. She was in her 96th year. Ms. Lau Chong was born in China and later moved to Hong Kong and finally to Canada in 1976. She was a devoted daughter, a dedicated and caring mother, and a doting grandmother. Ms. Lau Chong is survived by her five children and their spouses – Grace & Allan, Sandy & Regina, Eric & Angela, Louisa & Chang-Ki, Cecilia & Darrell, and her twelve grandchildren and their spouses – Ernest & Siu Chu, Sandra & Aaron, Jessica, Hans, Arimie, Jonathan, Kevin, David, Erin, and Spencer. Her warm and kind nature will be greatly missed by her family, relatives, and friends. We will treasure all the beautiful memories that will forever be engraved in our hearts.
The Memorial Service will be at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre, visitation starts at 1 pm and service starts at 2 pm. There will be a dinner following the funeral service at 4:30pm at Golden Palace Banquet Hall, First Markham Place, 3225 Highway 7 E, Unit 1, Markham.
** Covid-19 guidelines - all guests must show proof of vaccination for the Memorial Service **
Max capacity 70 guests at the Funeral Centre. We ask that you RSVP to Grace, Sandy, Eric, Louisa or Cecilia the number of attendees for the service and/or for dinner by March 3, noon.
