In memory of

司徒成先生 Mr. Sing Seto

August 28, 1928 -  November 16, 2023

It is with great sadness and honour that we share the passing of Sing Seto at Michael Garron Hospital on Thursday, November 16, 2023. After living a long and healthy life, he passed on peacefully, strong and tenacious until the end, and listening to the classic marching band music he enjoyed. He is survived by his devoted wife of over half a century, Mei Lin, his only child, daughter Susan, and son-in-law Jim. He was loving grandfather ('goong goong') to Reagan and Sebastian. His life in Canada benefited greatly from being surrounded by a caring extended family of brothers-, sisters-, cousins- and aunt-in law.

Understated and stoic by nature, he was known to seldom crack a smile or laugh out loud, which made those moments when he did that much more precious. Beneath his unflappable exterior, he was independent-minded, sharp and resourceful, with a sense of humour that revealed itself when least expected. He spent a large portion of his life working with food, ingredients and all things related to sustenance of body, mind and spirit - experience and learnings which he shared freely with others.

May he rest well, and be forever availed of tasty snacks, good reading, and endless 'bits and bobs' to improvise his creative solutions and quick fixes to any challenge.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honour to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
