Dear grandma,
You radiant strength, surviving wars and battle with cancer. You were super adaptable having moved countries multiple times, learning new language, new skills, new culture, and thriving in your new environment. I fondly remember you finding solutions for every day issues from making clothes fit perfectly to making things hang properly. I already miss your company, our conversations, travel adventures, and your cooking. Rest in peace and enjoy your new form. I’ll always carry your spirit.

感謝您五十餘年對我們全家關懷照顧，從香港到多倫多，永無休止；一起經歷了人生不少高低起伏，一起遊歷了歐美亞澳多處名勝名城，情景還歷歷在目。
您不平凡的一生，刻苦耐勞，愛心滿溢，扶持了三代人的成長；如今子孫繁茂，各有所成，在天之靈，應無遺憾。

很感激你對我們七兄弟姊妹的照顧。我們年紀只相差一至二歲，可想而知你有多辛勞，但我卻從沒聽到你抱怨辛苦。

猶記得你不辭勞苦，每天攀登那大約一百級的石階，由灣仔步行上堅尼地道送午餐到學校給我們的情景。

很可惜我未能有機會早些獲淮一星期可以多天進入孟嘗探望及協助。看到你在離去前幾天不肯進食時，我是多麼焦急及心痛。

這幾天總是想起與你一齊的日子，很是不捨。

亞姐，我們永遠懷念你。

Grandma,

You were truly an amazing woman who exemplified strength and courage. I have admired your determination in all of your endeavors (especially learning to swim later in life and how much you enjoyed it!) and your love for your family. I am grateful for all the memories we shared together with our travels and adventures, being roommates on our trips and all of the delicious meals we shared whether it was your own cooking or going out for a bite to eat. You had an open door policy and always welcomed guests to your home. I’ll miss your spunk, zest for life, our laughs together and your willingness to try new things. It brings a smile to my face whenever I think about all the fun times we had to get and the conversations we had.
