Dear Family and Friends,
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mona Fonceca on October 16 2022 at the age of 95 years. She was very loving, caring and tenderhearted and lived a very full life. She left India, the country of her birth with her husband Jeffrey and together they brought their four children to Canada in 1968. She made many sacrifices for her family's welfare and worked as an Executive Secretary to four presidents of Sears. Mona was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was the matriarch that glued our family together. She was very close to her children as well as her own family and was also well travelled throughout the world. Mum had a phenomenal memory and a sharp mind matched equally by her quick wit and great sense of humor. An accomplished cook and keyboardist, she planned many happy family get togethers. Her loves included children, family, music, trips and the occasional overnighters with family to Collingwood and Niagara Falls to try her luck at the slots. She will be deeply missed by her sons Glenn, Don and wife Valerie, daughter Debbie and husband Jeff and son Keith and wife Karen. Mona is also survived by her grand children Aaron and Stephanie, Jason, Andrew, Nick and Meghann and great grand children Isaac, Rebecca and Anleigh. She is deeply loved and will always be in our hearts and thoughts. She has gone to her richly deserved reward in Heaven. With all our love always, God bless you darling Mum.
