Mo Ching Sum passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones in Scarborough, Canada.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Mo Ching was born in China in 1933. It was wartime, and she lost her father at the age of 8; she and her mother lived with supportive relatives. When she was 18, she moved to Macau and worked as a midwife and then on to Tung Wah Hospital for almost 30 years in Hong Kong.
At the age of 25 she got married with Hung Man Yuen in Hong Kong and she had 3 daughters, Pauline, Polly and Kay. In 1992 she immigrated to Canada with her unmarried daughters.
Mo Ching was retired and took care of grand children enjoying her life in Canada. She was an independent and courageous woman who will be greatly missed.
She leaves her daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline and Peter; Polly and Man; Kay and Kent; grandchildren, Vin and Mei, Vinyee and Anthony, Vitak, Michael, and Kira; great grandsons, Calvin, Leon and Joshua.
