Mitsue “Mitzi” Miyazaki

In her 100th year Mitsue Miyazaki passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Eiji “Morris” and her dearest son Wayne (Donna). She was much loved and will be dearly missed by her surviving children Jane Byrnes (Michael) and Allen. An adoring grandma to Matthew Miyazaki and Lauren Yager (Paul).

She was the daughter of Asamatsu and Tsuneko Murakami of Steveston, BC. Predeceased by her brothers Kiyoshi Murakami (Lila), Atsushi Murakami (Fumie), Roy Murakami and sister Hatsue Kosaka (Robert). Survived by her dear sister-in-law Shirley Murakami of Kitchener. She was a much loved auntie to many nieces and nephews.

She showed strength, resilience and perseverance especially during the internment years of the Japanese Canadians. She was the heartbeat of our family. Her devotion and love of family was a reflection of her gentle caring nature. She will always be remembered for her genuine kindness, gentleness and thoughtfulness to everyone.

A very special thank you to Fenny and Ally for always caring for our Mother with respect, dignity and kindness. Thank you to Dr. Peto and Dr. Teelucksingh for their care of our Mother.

She will forever be loved and remembered.

Koden is gratefuly declined.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto.
