Misako Jean Kumabe born February 10, 1924 in Courtenay, B.C. Died peacefully on July 10, 2024 at Markham Stouffville Hospital in her 100th year. Devoted wife of the Late Masayuki Kumabe. Dear mother of Lorraine, Grace, Ron, Marilyn, Mark and Alan. Predeceased by son Gerald Kazuo and daughter-in-law Diane Helen.
Much loved grandmother of Marie/Nick, Carrie/Stephen, Lisa/Adam, Laura/Keith, Derek/Kim, Tara/Corey.
Loving bachan of Kyle, Michael, Sofia, Domenic, Matthew, Cristina and Jace. Respected sister of Louise, Roy and Lillian. Sister-in-law of Mits. Predeceased by sisters Satsuko and Gloria and brother Sadakazu.
Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Known and respected for many years by Tom, Dorothy and Ginny. Makuragyo service was performed by Rev. Hashimoto on July 9, 2024.
