Miroslav Zednicek, born May 6, 1946 in Brno, Czech Republic, finally succumbed after a valiant fight with blood cancer for more than 15 years. Beloved, devoted and loving husband to Miroslava from 1966 for 56 years, they resided happily together in Pickering for most of their lives. Mirek was an excellent provider for his family. He worked at Eaton’s for 28 years as an electrician, then went on to work at Access Suspended Platforms in Markham from where he retired 5 years ago. He is survived by Mirka, his devoted wife and his two sons, Steve (Lori) and Peter as well as his grandchildren whom he adored dearly, Nathan (Felicia) and Vanessa. Mirek’s passions in life were his family and travelling. Together with his wife, they travelled the globe. Before the pandemic hit, he also travelled with his entire family to Mexico, Bahamas and Dominican Republic. He cherished these moments, when his entire family was by his side, as they are now. Rest in peace, Miroslav. We love you.
