It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Ming-Kun Li, in his 69th year, on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Beloved husband of 49 years to Shu-Ying. Loving father of Mei-Ni (Bradley) and Mei-Hsin (Vincent). Adored A-Gong (grandfather) of Adam.

Born in Taiwan, he had a storied career, including a sergeant in the Army, a talented goldsmith, tailor and builder. A lover of nature, he had always enjoyed camping, hiking, farming, gardening, and had even picked up oil painting recently. He had a great voice, and listening to Taiwanese folk songs and singing karaoke were some of his favourite past-times, as well as learning various skills on Youtube, like baking, tying knots, and even solving the Rubik’s cube. His heart was always tender towards those that cannot advocate for themselves, such as animals, the elderly and children.

His generous spirit will be missed by everyone who has ever met him.

The viewing will take place on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 1.15 p.m. to 2.15 p.m. followed by a service from 2.15 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. at Elgin Mills Funeral Home, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON L6S 1M9. The family wishes this event to be private.

In memory of Ming-Kun and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) would be greatly appreciated by the family.

我們懷著極大的悲痛哀悼李明焜先生於 2023 年 8 月13 日 星期日去世，享年 69 歲。他是淑英深愛49年的丈夫。美霓（適布萊德）和美馨（適丘成華）的慈父。阿丹崇拜的阿公。

他出生於台灣，有雙靈巧的手，曾擔任陸軍下士、金匠、裁縫和建築師傅。他也有副好歌喉，會唱他熱愛的台語老歌。興趣多多的他一向喜歡享受大自然的美，去露營、健行、耕農、園藝。最近還上網學烘培與打結，甚至連魔術方塊都會解，而且還開始學習油畫。

他總是溫柔地對待弱勢者，比如動物、老人和孩子們。

每個見過他的人都會懷念他慷慨的精神。

告別式將於 2023 年 8 月 18 日星期五下午 1 點 15 至下午 3 點在 Elgin Mills 殯儀館進行，地址：1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON L6S 1M9。
