In memory of

Mina Khosravei Valla

November 19, 1968 -  February 11, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mitra (Mina) Khosravi Valla on February 11, 2025, after a courageous ten-year battle with breast cancer. She passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. Mitra was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished sister.

Losing her has left an ache that words cannot describe but in the spaces she once filled, love remains. Her legacy of love, resilience, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A service to honour and celebrate Mitra’s life will be held on Sunday, February 16th, 2025 at 9-11am at Elgin Mills Funeral Home. Family and friends are welcome to attend and pay their respects.

Rest peacefully, Mitra. You were, and always will be, our greatest love, our best friend, and the heart of our family. Forever in our hearts.

The first time we met Mitra she became a part of our family. She had a great smile and laugh along with a great taste in baking. I saw her as the matriarch of her family as I did mine and I feel that is what bonded us. Rest now beautiful woman. Your lessons as a mother and love for your family will always be with them.

Gone too soon, but never forgotten.
Saying goodbye is so hard, but I find comfort in knowing you are at peace. You will always be loved and remembered.

My dear Mitra,
Still can’t believe your departure, was planning to visit you at the hospital on Sunday. I witnessed your journey to fight cancer over the past few years and expected to defeat it again. You’ve been my anchor when I needed someone to hold on and push through the life. The older sister and best friend anyone could wish. Your kindness and big heart for sharing greatest moments of your life, your free spirit, wisdom, care and support for others. I’ve learned great deal of strength from you, the way to push the boundaries and never settle for less. I am sure we are going to meet again in other side, hold on my spot there.
