In loving memory of Milton Chryssaitis who passed away peacefully on October 23, 2020, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital in his 95th year.

Born in Athens, Greece he came to Canada with his mother (Katina), and his brother Mario, to pursue a new life.

Milton led an undemanding and plain life. Many times he would say, "I live a simple life", but his actions spoke volumes of his generosity, kindness and support he gave to family, friends and neighbours in need. He was in the hospital room when my mother passed away and he was the last person to see my father on the day he passed. I was grateful to be with him on his last day.

In his retirement year, he involved himself in swimming at the Y.M.C.A., participated in seniors walking groups and visited the Toronto reference library. His evenings consisted of meeting up with friends at the local McDonalds, with fellow Greeks discussing politics.

Up until his 95th birthday, Milton was still using his computer to keep updated with the Greek news and listen to Greek music.

Nearing the end of his journey, many times he would remind me of his age and say, "I am 95 years old, that's a BIG number. The ancient Greeks say be afraid of old age for it doesn't come alone."

He will be sadly missed by his many nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
