December 20, 1928 - May 4, 2017

Mildred Ruby Cathcart (nee Corneil) passed away peacefully with family at her side at North York General Hospital, on Thursday May 4, 2017, in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late William Cathcart. Much loved mother of Norman (Cindy), Wendy (Laury) and Laurie Slack (Bob). Proud grandmother of Nicole (Liam), Jonathan (Lauren), Michael and Bryan, and great grandmother of Paloma. Cherished sister of Thelma Beetham and Barb Pritchard and predeceased by Shirley Clausen. Dear sister-in-law of Martha Snyder. Aunt Millie will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews. Millie was very grateful for many life long friendships. She was an active member of Iondale Heights United Church and its UCW.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arthritis Society of Ontario or Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.

Our sincerest condolences to Norman, Wendy, Laurie and the entire Cathcart Family on the loss of their beloved Mother. Mrs. Cathcart was like a second Mom to me growing up spending many hours in their home like an adopted son. She never let me forget how I was almost born in her brand new car on the DVP as she drove my Mother to St. Michaels Hospital in 1963. We'll never forget the Cathcarts genuine heart and kindness...... We were blessed to have such GREAT neighbors......

Grandma was a wonderful, strong, fighter. I hope she has found peace and is happy to be reunited with my Grandfather, and Tanner. Sending my love and all my heart up to my aunt's and cousins in TO. I wish more than anything that we could be there in this sad time.
