Mildred Valenta, age 84, of Toronto, Ontario, passed away in the early morning of December 18, 2022, in Michael Garron Hospital from various ailments.
Mildred was born on March 24, 1938 in Toronto. She was married to her husband Peter for more than 65 years. Prior to her illness, Mildred was involved with her church and sang in the choir, while also attending social clubs and charities. However, at her heart, she was entirely dedicated to her family.
Mildred is survived by her husband Peter; her children Michael (Cathy), David, and Anna (Mike); her grandchildren Chrystal (Kirk), Melissa, Dominique (Clayton), Paris, Taro (Lauren), Athena, and Meridian; her sister Eileen; as well as nine great-grandchildren and many other family members that she loved.
The visitation will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery on December 21, 2022 between 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Her wishes were to have a relatively private family funeral (along with some close friends). The funeral will also be held at Pine Hills Cemetery on December 22, 2022 at 11 a.m. (with visitation at 10 a.m.). Following the funeral, a burial will take place at the cemetery.
