Michael, condolences to you. I know you did your best to take care of your dad. You are a good son.
i remember this man from the 80's
when I would visit Pete's business out in Scarborough.
He was always at his cutting table creating something...always seemed so content doing what he loved and staying busy at MPM.
Quiet spoken but always acknowledged me in his own way.
in later years Pete told his dad kept busy in the yard with his lawn mower and his long walks...I mean long.
Like many immigrants to this country perseverance, hard work, discipline and shear will power dealing with unbelievable obstacles shone in many of the stories Pete shared with me with his Dads trec to Canada. The qualities stayed with him till he passed. He is free now and chose to leave quietly. Very admirable.
