It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mike (Meletios) on the afternoon of September 17, 2023 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of 55 years to Freda, loving father to Soula and Anna, father-in law to Paul and Steve and “Best Pappou Ever” to Cassia and Erica. His family was his everything.

Mike was born on April 13, 1947 in Asopos, Greece, where he learned the values of hard work, family, and faith that would guide him throughout his life. Always an entrepreneur, he had started several business ventures at a very young age including selling sodas and “pastelia” on the beach. That entrepreneurial spirit is what had him set on moving to and living in Canada from the age of 18.

Mike moved to Toronto where he met the love of his life Freda. After only three short months they married and their journey together began. They worked side by side every day in business and in life.

Some of his favorite things were family dinners, taking care of his garden, travelling to warm sunny beaches, watching soccer, and enjoying music.

Visitation is at the York Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft, Toronto on Thursday, September 21 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The funeral service will take place in the York Cemetery and Funeral Center Chapel on Friday, September 22 at 10:00 AM

Reception will follow at York Cemetery and Funeral Center Friday, September 22 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
