In memory of

Michen Agoria Hussain

May 8, 1926 -  January 17, 2020

Hussain, Michen Agoria (nee Newallo)

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 17, 2020 in Toronto, ON. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Vernon Hussain. Ralph and Michen were married in May 1945, and enjoyed a beautiful life, together for 67 years until Ralph passed away in November 2012.

Loving Mother of Kareen Abbott (Stephen), Sharon Hussain (d. April 2014), Kurt (Marilyn Allum), Jerry (Jennifer Marquez), Karl (Margaret Khan), Marilyn Titus, Marcia Jones (Jul), Arlene Jackson (Bruce d. Jan 2020). Cherished Granny of Mark Abbott, Marissa Cann (David), Geneviève Abbott, Benjamin Titus, Jeannine Ahing (Revolino), Justin Hussain, Jonathon Titus, Lisa Marie Crichlow (Kevin), Reynold Hussain (Allison), Adam Jones, Hélène Pilgrim (Yannick), Alicia Schuller (Ron), Amanda Jones, Nathan Jackson & David Jackson. Dear great grandgranny to Janaé Abbott, Angélique Ahing, Reine Ahing, Gabriella Hussain & Azélie Ahing. Survived by her sisters Letha Ramkeesoon & Greta (Kitty) Williams. Predeceased by her sisters Ana May McCarthy, Scenia Gomes, Sheva Bailey and her brother Kerry Newallo.
Michen was born and lived in Trinidad for most of her life. It was after many visits to Canada in the summer months that her and Ralph made Canada their new home and became Canadian Citizens. She was especially close to her sisters and brother and maintained that special bond over the years. She was a home maker, a loving and caring gentle lady who loved her family. Devoted to her husband and children, and equally invested in her nieces and nephews. Michen taught her children by example. Whenever her children did anything that was not nice, she would have long gentle conversations with them, always delivered with patience & understanding.

Michen loved to cook and made delicious dishes that she passed down to her children over the years. Every Sunday she made her famous sponge cake and Ralph, with the help of their three sons, would have the ice cream machine going for everyone to enjoy.
She loved music, dancing, reading and embroidering. On Sunday afternoons she enjoyed sharing some of the dances from her time with her daughters, such as the Castillian Waltz.

Michen loved her grandchildren dearly & cherished all 15 of them. Her grandchildren loved her tremendously and each had their own special relationship with her. She loved spending time with them, always encouraging their individuality & special talents. Many years later, Michen was also blessed with great grandchildren, some of whom she was able to meet & create memories with before her passing.

Michen will truly be missed and most remembered for her beautiful soul and the unconditional love she had for her family & friends. She was an extraordinary woman with a heart of gold that was felt by everyone around her.

“We love you Granny and thank you for all the love and kind ways you've instilled in us”

Dear Kareen
On behalf of Yvonne and Len and Stephen and myself and our girls, we share in your grief on the passing of the beautiful mom and grandma that she has been. I spent time with Margaret today hearing stories of the Walters and Hussains when they were young. I felt the sunshine and could picture the vibrant life generations ago!
Blessings and Hugs from us all. Our thoughts are with you.

I carry with me fond memories of you at your Seaview Terrace home.
A gracious and generous hostess you were, with a marvellous hand at cooking.
Thank you for being a loving sister to mummy, and aunt to the McCarthy children throughout all of our lives.
You work is now done here on earth and you have earned your eternal wings to fly.
You can now dance with the angels...until we meet again, dear Auntie.

Love from Susie & the Jaggernauth family

We met Mrs. Hussain several decades ago, and have had the pleasure of her company, being able to observe her quiet, kind and very caring nature. Her focus and highest priority always on her family. She has lived a good life and we know will Rest in Peace eternally.
