In memory of

Michael Jerzy Forycki

April 30, 1991 -  March 24, 2021

It is with a deep sorrow we announce the passing of Michael Forycki on March 24, 2021. He passed away at home surrounded by those who loved him. He was born in London, Ontario on April 30, 1991 to Christopher and Nora Forycki. He leaves behind a mother, father, a younger brother Martin, extended family overseas, and countless friends to whom he was as close as family.

Big Mike, as his friends call him, grew up in Brampton, attending St. Anne elementary school and Cardinal Leger Secondary School where he found a love for sport, primarily basketball and volleyball. He went on to graduate from Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, working as a software developer. He derived lots of enjoyment from building applications that helped others.

If there was one word to describe Michael it would be resilient. No matter what challenges arose in his life he would never shy away, standing tall (6 foot 7 tall) in the face of adversity. Big Mike’s heart was BIG. It was enormous. He was compassionate and loved being of service to others. If you needed someone to lean on you could count on him. Courageous, curious, the list of adjectives to describe him are endless. All in all he was a solid person through and through.

We cry because we miss him, we smile in celebration of his freedom. Such is the face of love found within the heart.

Love,
Everyone

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Michael’s honour can be made to support the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada. https://www.braintumour.ca/michael-forycki/

We were devastated to hear of Michael's passing. Michael, Kevin, Jason and Lee were known as the 4 Muskateers in our house. They were and have remained such good friends since elementary school. Big Mike as he was known to his friends was all that and more. He had a big heart, a huge smile and will definitely leave a big mark on everyone's heart. May he fly with the angels and rest in peace.
