May 12, 1936 - May 7, 2017
Michael Edmund Pearce, loving and beloved husband (Ruth), father (Adam and Katherine), grandfather (Aidan and Siobhan), and friend to many world-wide, died May 7, 2017 after a short illness.
Born in Christchurch, England, May 12, 1936, Michael arrived in Canada in 1977 after serving as General Manager of Lonsdale Hands Advertising in Jamaica. He served as Director of Product Promotion for the Dairy Farmers of Ontario until 2001. His career was peppered with notable moments, including the first wrapped TTC vehicle, “Thank You Very Much Milk”, “Irreplaceable,” the memorable “Cow People” and Joe Carter campaigns.
Funeral to be held 10 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2017 at St Patrick’s Catholic Church on McCaul Street in Toronto, with interment to follow. The family requests no flowers. Donations to a charity of the donor’s choosing in Michael’s name would make him smile.
