In memory of

Michael Anthony Forde

September 25, 1949 -  February 12, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Forde aka Crane, who left us on February 12, 2025, at Centenary Hospital in Scarborough, at the age of 75.

Michael was a man of great passion and dedication. He attended Barbados Hotel School, where he pursued his love for cooking and after migrating to Canada, he continued working as a talented Head Chef at Hilton, Holiday Inn and Inn on the Park in Toronto. He took immense pride in his work, bringing joy to those who had the pleasure of experiencing his culinary creations.

Beyond the kitchen, Michael had a deep love for sports, especially horse racing, and enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm with those around him. He was also a cherished member of his community, always ready to offer guidance and support to his neighbours, who often sought his advice.

Michael will be lovingly remembered and missed by his devoted wife, Monica, his sons – St. Clair, Mark, Allan and Omari, his daughters – Tracy, Zarina, Nadine and Alesha, his grandchildren, his three brothers – Junior, St. Clair and Ronald and four sisters – Patricia, Betty, Anna, Margret and Marva (deceased). He was born on September 25th, 1949, to his parents Agnes Forde–Alleyne and Kenneth Alleyne. He was a cousin of many and friend of many. His kindness, wisdom, and warm spirit will never be forgotten.

A Cremation Service to honor and celebrate Michael’s life will be held on March 15, 2025, at The Simple Alternative – Pickering Funeral Home at 1057 Brock Road, Pickering, ON, Canada, L1W 3T7.

Visitation Hours – 11 am to 12pm
Service Hours – 12pm

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

We grew up as brothers, he would be over by my house daily, we would discuss the girls we wanted to check out and make plans of attacks, in 1971 i joined the Police force and in April 1972 I left and came to the Cayman Islands, on my visit home we got together for drinks and old talk, a few years ago I hooked up with him on WhatsApp, rest in peace brother.
