In memory of

Mervyn Paraboo

July 3, 1947 -  March 7, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Mervyn Sase Narine Paraboo, also known as “Taj”. Cherished father of Maxine (Billy), Michelle (Carl), Mervyn Jr (Natalie), Marlo and Melissa (Darren). He will also be deeply missed by his 18 grandchildren whom he cherished and lovingly spoiled.

Born in Guyana, he was the youngest of 4 children. He moved to Toronto at the young age of 19 and completed his education, earning his mechanic license from George Brown College to become a class A mechanic.

Merv had a passion for everything and anything related to cars. He was a fountain of knowledge on a vast array of subjects and he loved to share facts of interest with everyone. Merv is the only man known to eat a scotch bonnet pepper like an apple. His humble, caring and humorous character was admirable and ever present to the very end. He was one of a kind and will dearly be missed.

In loving memory of Merv and in lieu of flowers, donations to Bethell House Hospice would be greatly appreciated by the family. A heartfelt and special THANK YOU to the staff at Bethell House for their compassionate care.
